NY Strip Over Mixed Greens

Ingredients (4 servings)

Steak

  • 1.5 lb Chop House NY strip steak

  • Chop House sauce packet

Salad

  • 8–10 cups mixed greens (spring mix/arugula/romaine blend)

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 cucumber, sliced

  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

  • Optional add-ins: sliced avocado, crumbled blue cheese or feta, toasted nuts, roasted corn

Simple balsamic vinaigrette

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • 1 small garlic clove, grated (optional)

  • Salt + pepper

Steps

  1. Make the dressing
    Whisk (or shake in a jar) olive oil, balsamic, Dijon, honey (if using), garlic, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

  2. Reheat the NY strip
    Reheat in a hot skillet or grill 2–3 minutes per side and top with Sauce

  3. Slice
    Slice thinly against the grain.

  4. Assemble salad
    Toss greens with tomatoes, cucumber, and onion. Add dressing to taste.

  5. Top with steak
    Divide salad into bowls/plates, layer on sliced steak, add optional toppings.
